Frequently asked questions

To help you enjoy the day, take a look at the most frequently asked questions. If you require further assistance, just email info@festivalofthedead.uk – we’re always happy to help.

I haven't pre-booked. Can I turn up on the day?

Pre-booking has closed. You can still turn up on the day and pay at the gate. The pay on the day price will be £15.00, per vehicle. Cash is preferable although we will be able to take card payments too. Please note that every ticket bought for Festival of the Dead is contributing to our chosen charity, Mission Motorsport.

My show vehicle is not listed on the eligible marques list?

If your vehicle is not listed but the manufacturer HAS ceased production, please select the ‘Other Not Listed’ option at the bottom of the list.

The maker of my classic car is still manufacturing, can I still attend the event?

If your vehicle is not eligible for the show and you share our appreciation for classic marques no longer manufactured, you are still welcome to visit the show for a great day out and to see the amazing selection of cars on show. To purchase a ticket for non-eligible vehicles, please select ‘Non Eligible Vehicle (current manufacturer)’ from the drop-down list of vehicles. Non-eligible vehicles will be parked in their own space with other similar cars away from the main show area.

Can my car club have a club stand?

Yes! Marque specific club stand space is available. If your car club is interested in organising a club stand, please contact us on info@festivalofthedead.uk.

How do I get to the venue?

Please enter through the main Pilsgate Visitor Entrance off the B1443 Barnack Road and make your way down QE1 Avenue. One of our event marshals will be there to greet you.

Venue address: Burghley House, Stamford, Lincolnshire, PE9 3JY

Using a Sat Nav to find the venue: Postcode: PE9 3JU

What time can I access the venue?

Access is from 8.30am. The show will be opening at 10am.

I'm bringing my family, do I need to book tickets for them too?

No, you only need to purchase a ticket for your car. Tickets are charged per vehicle and will cover the driver and all passengers in your vehicle, including children.

Remember, every ticket bought for Festival of the Dead is contributing to Mission Motorsport

Children are our future classic car owners, and we believe they should be encouraged. But if your little ones would like to take a break from looking at the cars, Burghley House has a new Hide & Secrets Adventure Play area.

Are dogs welcome?

We consider our pets to be part of our families too. Well behaved dogs are welcome but please keep them on a lead at all times as there are deer onsite.

Do we get discounted entry for the House and Gardens?

Absolutely! To gain half-priced entry to the House and Gardens, please present your show entry ticket at the main Brewhouse Visitor Entrance.

Will there be food vendors at the show?

Oh yes! The House also has a great restaurant for sit-down meals or take a stroll along to the Café where you’ll find a tasty selection of refreshments and light lunches. There’ll also be a coffee wagon on the main show field, and if it is a hot day (which of course we hope it will be!), the delicious ice creams will be available from the Orangery and Garden Cafe.

Is there First Aid facilities on site?

Yes. We hope that you won’t need it, but if you do require assistance, the wonderful people from St. John Ambulance will be onsite.

Are drones allowed?

No, due to the close proximity to an airfield, drones are prohibited. But, we’d love to see all your photos so please do share photos of the day tagging #FestivaloftheDeadCarShow #FestivaloftheDeadCarShow2023
